    Note Also known as Aardt Antonie, the name he used on marrying in 1919. Was a witness at marriage of his sister Emily Ann in 1923. Death notice states that he was living on his farm 'Welgegund', district Pretoria. eGGSA website has a photo of his gravestone.

      No. 5845 Private--enlisted with the 12th SA Infantry (Pretoria Regt) for service in Germand South West Africa on 18th August, 1914. He served with this regiment throughout the campaign & was discharged on 19 August 1915 with the rank of corporal. He re-enlisted with the 6th SA Horse on 5 September 1916 for service in East Africa and departed for Kildini on 18 May, 1916 arriving at destination on 24th May. He served throughout the campaign & returned to SA on His Majesty's Transport Aragon on 11 February, 1917. He was released from service on 17 April, 1917.
      He qualified for war medals and listed his father Mr Michael Joseph Adendorff of Brits Station as his next of kin.
